Hawaii Islands Guide

Hawaii Activities

Hawaii is a great travel destination for those who like to get off the beaten path and go hiking and exploring in the lush forests and barren volcano fields.

Activities abound both on the land and in the water. With so many choices it's easy to find activities the whole family will enjoy.

You can go surfing on the North Shore in the morning, then kick it on one of the black sand beaches in the afternoon. Then at night trek down to the best Hawaiian Luau on the island.

If you get bored on your Hawaiian vacation, you're not trying very hard! Here are some of my favorite Hawaii activities that range from the serene to the extreme...

Favorite Hawaiian Activities

Whale Watching
See the majestic Humpback Whales as they migrate to the warm Hawaiian to give birth before returning to the polar waters in the Spring to feed.

Nature Tours
Hike the rainforest and see the native wildlife in its' native environment and wonder at the majestic waterfalls as they plunge hundreds of feet to the forest floor.

North Shore Shark Adventure
See the beauty of Hawaii’s sharks from the boat as they rise from the depths to greet you just three miles off Oahu’s North Shore.

Helicopter Tours
You'll gain a whole new appreciation for the true beauty of the Hawaiian Islands when you take a Helicopter Tour. Get a bird's eye view of waterfalls, volcanos and lush scenery that's unrivaled anywhere on earth.

Submarine Tours
Take the plunge into the crystal clear sparkling waters of Hawaii and get face to face with its' underwater residents. Get swarmed by tropical fish, tour shipwrecks and see sting rays and sea turtles.

Golf
Hawaii truly is a golfer paradise. Put your skills to the test against the challenging trade winds and ocean hazards on beautiful courses like Waialae Country Club, Mauna Kea Golf Course, Luana Hills Country Club and Koolau Golf Course.

Snorkeling
The tropical waters of Hawaii have some of the best snorkeling on earth. Learn about the abundant reef life that abounds just outside the rolling tides of the beach.

Sailing
Cruise the open water alone in a sailboat or charter a catamaran with a full crew and get ready for adventure on the high seas. Lounge on the deck, or fish, snorkel and scuba dive from your own floating resort.

Scuba Diving
Some of the best scuba diving in the world can be found right here in Hawaii. See sharks, dolphins, sea turtles, whales and a myriad of colorful native fish. If you get lucky you can even see underwater lava!
